CASA – $7,500
(Court Appointed Special Advocates) CASA of Jackson County mission is to promote the best interest of abused,
neglected, and vulnerable children who are wards of the court and to promote community responsibility for reduction
of child abuse and neglect.
Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County - $7,500
(Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County) CAC meets the needs of children and families in our community by
providing a child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate multidisciplinary approach to the prevention,
treatment, identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse.
Community Works Dunn House/Victim Services - $60,000
Community Works, Dunn House and Victim Services offer safe refuge and support services for women and children
who survive domestic violence. Services include 24-hour crisis intervention and shelter service, peer counseling and
support, court advocacy, and non-violent parenting techniques.
Domestic Violence Foundation - $20,000
The Domestic Violence Foundation supports women and their families at a time of urgent need. The women are
referred by community agencies and Dunn House for funding when all other resources are exhausted.
Jackson County Sexual Assault Team - $5,000
Their Survivor Care Program is dedicated to reducing the harms of both domestic and sexual violence by providing
immediate, trauma-informed crisis intervention and by connecting survivors to an expansive network of ongoing care
and support.
