2023 Grant Awards

 

 

CASA – $17,500

(Court Appointed Special Advocates) CASA of Jackson County mission is to promote the best interest of abused,
neglected, and vulnerable children who are wards of the court and to promote community responsibility for reduction
of child abuse and neglect.

 

Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County - $13,000

(Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County) CAC meets the needs of children and families in our community by
providing a child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate multidisciplinary approach to the prevention,
treatment, identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse.

 

Community Works Dunn House/Victim Services - $117,000 General Fund & $25,000 To Capital Building Campaign

Community Works, Dunn House and Victim Services offer safe refuge and support services for women and children
who survive domestic violence. Services include 24-hour crisis intervention and shelter service, peer counseling and
support, court advocacy, and non-violent parenting techniques.

 

Domestic Violence Foundation - $25,000

The Domestic Violence Foundation supports women and their families at a time of urgent need. The women are
referred by community agencies and Dunn House for funding when all other resources are exhausted.

 

Family Nurturing Center - $20,000

Family Nurturing Center is Jackson County’s Children’s Crisis Relief Nursery providing two therapeutic preschools
that help children heal from emotional trauma and learn how to build trust and attachment with adults.    

 

Ride My Road - $2,500

Ride My Road has hosted events across America to raise funds and awareness for anti-human trafficking. Through
strategic partnerships they have leveraged the power of the community, by raising hundreds of thousands of dollars
in funds that have impacted countless communities.
